Download or read book It s All About Love written by Fran Wellgood and published by Balboa Press. This book was released on 2019-04-25 with total page 228 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What if we loved ourselves more than we could imagine? We are told to love ourselves, but we don't know how or even why. What if we learned actual techniques that helped us love ourselves and align our energy with our Higher Self and the Universe for a more joyous life? It’s possible, and it just takes willingness and practice. When we learn and use real tools, we are better able to surf the waves of life, and meet life with grace. When we learn how we are resisting loving ourselves and learn how to allow the love we are to flow through us, we utilize the buoyant, loving energy of the Universe to flow more smoothly and joyously through life. Everything is energy, including us! When our energy is in balance and flows smoothly, we feel harmonious, peaceful, and aligned with our true nature, our Higher Self, part of the Universe. This is our natural state. Daily life often seems to interrupt our connection with our true state of being. By working with our energy and metaphysical principles, we can remember who we really are; we realign with our true self, which is pure Love, and experience the ease, peace, and joy that results. Metaphysics is about using the energy we are beyond our body in a practical way while we are in this body. By understanding that we are both human and Divine and having compassion for how challenging it is to live in this world, we begin to understand Love, the most powerful force in the Universe. This is not mysterious; this is very real and very available to each of us. The keys to healing are Love and Willingness. The keys are yours for the taking.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The narrator arrives in Berlin, a place famed for its hedonism, to find peace and maybe love; only to discover that the problems which have long haunted him have arrived there too, and are more present than ever. As he approaches his fortieth birthday, nearing the age where his father was killed in a brutal revolution, he drifts through this endlessly addictive and sometimes mystical city, through its slow days and bottomless nights, wondering whether he will ever escape the damage left by his father’s death. With the world as a whole more uncertain, as both the far-right and global temperatures rise at frightening speed, he finds himself fighting a fierce inner battle against his turbulent past, for a future free of his fear of failure, of persecution, and of intimacy. In The End, It Was All About Love is a journey of loss and self-acceptance that takes its nameless narrator all the way through bustling Berlin to his roots, a quiet village on the Uganda-Sudan border. It is a bracingly honest story of love, sexuality and spirituality, of racism, dating, and alienation; of fleeing the greatest possible pain, and of the hopeful road home.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: An intimate and illuminating look at how love shapes our culture and our lives. Unruly, unpredictable—love is a maddening deity. In this insightful and eloquent meditation on that many-splendored thing, Lisa Appignanesi draws together psychology, literature, popular culture, and her own experiences in order to tangle with love's paradoxes across the span of our lives. Beginning with the rose-tinted raptures of first love, she proceeds to love in marriage, triangulated love, jealousy and adultery, love in the family, and friendship. By illuminating the expectations, the joys and difficulties, and the cultural undercurrents that accompany each stage, Appignanesi raises provocative questions about love in the twenty-first century: Has the unbinding of obstacles to love emptied it of meaning? Do our desires for variety and experimentation result in increased anxiety? What gains and losses have come from greater openness and equality and the burgeoning sphere of virtual fantasy? As rewarding as it is captivating, All about Love will leave you a little wiser about the emotion that rules our lives.

Book excerpt: 'Susan Jeffers' wisdom feels like a precious gift. Her counsel is profound and meaningful in such challenging times.' MARIANNE WILLIAMSON 'Original, courageous and brilliant!' WARREN FARRELL * * * * * * * * * * Nobody knows what will happen in the next moment of our lives. Whatever is in store for us, the only thing we CAN be sure of is that nothing in life is certain. And since we all fear the unknown, life's uncertainty can be a constant source of worry to us. But, as bestselling author Susan Jeffers explains, life doesn't have to be one worry after the next, a steady stream of 'what if's', and a constant attempt to create a secure haven for ourselves. In EMBRACING UNCERTAINTY she emphasises that an unknown future doesn't prevent a rich and abundant life, and shows how by enjoying life's unpredictability we transform ourselves from a position of fear to one filled with excitement and potential. Through invaluable case-studies, exercises and her pragmatic wisdom, Susan convinces us, above all, that life is exhilarating because of, not in spite of the uncertainty.

Download or read book Motivation in Organisations written by Manuel Guillen and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2020-11-10 with total page 232 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Motivation in Organisations: Searching for a Meaningful Work-Life Balance extends the current motivation models in business education to include motives of human behaviour that have been neglected for decades. It debunks some of the myths about human motivation (self-interest as the dominant factor, amorality and non-spirituality) and explains why this approach to teaching business is erroneous and leads to wrong and harmful practices in many organisations. In a very personal and engaging style, the author presents a "map of motivations", based on a humanistic approach to management. This includes the latest findings of Abraham H. Maslow supported by sound philosophical reflections and modern research. He also presents specific ways of putting the framework into practice, sharing stories from students and professionals of how this framework has helped them better understand their own motivations and look at their daily work in a much more meaningful way. The book is highly relevant to students and researchers in humanistic management, people management, organisational behaviour, business ethics, corporate social responsibility and sustainability. In short, this text will be truly inspiring to anyone who wants to reflect on motivations in organisations and how to achieve a better work-life balance.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the next chapter of my book will be detailed steps on everything that will occur during the preparation of what will happen after the wedding. As she prepares for the wedding, she designs the perfect wedding gown. This is what will happen in the novel. As with the book of poems, it was a combination of events that had happened in the imagination of my mind. The book of poems has inspired me to continue to write and create my thoughts on how I will like my audience to see my work. The time that I have put into this book has not been an overnight experience. It has been a long road and some writer’s block, but it has been rewarding. When I first started writing, I never imagined that I will someday become an author. I had many sleepless nights, but writing this book of poems has given me the joy of being able to express my feelings and share them with the world. All kinds of poems and novels were created. By the way, I decided to prove that poems do not necessarily have to have rhythm but that it can be expressed with understanding. If you know what you want and how you want to inspire yourself, then it will inspire others to want that encouragement. I work so hard to put my words into something that others can relate to. This book has inspired me to continue to write more and more. I hope that by the time my audience read this, it will help them pursue their dreams. When I received the news about my manuscript, I thanked God for bringing me this far and never leaving me. I also thank my husband for encouraging me to finish. Thank you, Ricky, for the moral support. I hope you all enjoy this book.
